PA1 Plein Air Full Size Sketchbox Easel. We produced this easel as a lower cost version of the Jullian origianl without compromising quality. Made from ELM wood and with a linen carry strap and a drop-in metal lining the Plein Air offers all the painting qualities of the Jullian Original. Supplied with a free canvas travel bag.

The innovative sketch box drawer is metal lined with 4 adjustable sections.
There is storage under the drawer in two compartments for brushes. Fittings are best quality brass or brass-plated. Mahogany palette 300mm x 406mm. Linen shoulder straps and a de-luxe leather handle.
Plastic anti-slip feet are moulded on to prevent loss. For canvasses or boards from 25mm to 870mm high.
Ajustable to any painting angle including flat. Built in wet canvas carrier. Shoulder strap loops for easy carrying.

The half size easel will appeal to those who prefer a lighter weight box easel, one that is also smaller and will tuck perhaps into a travel bag. The Jullian satchel is a convenient way to carry this easel.

Often preferred by lady artists or gentlemen who like to travel light. Drawer is metal lined with adjustable sections. Brass and brass plated hardware. Mahoghany finished folding palette (opens and locks into position to give a full size palette). Linen shoulder straps and a de-luxe carry handle.

This simple version of the Plein Air is ideal as a starter easel, maybe for someone taking classes who wants to keep all their materials to hand in the metal lined compartment with its adjustable dividers or just a light weight easel for travelling. Useful with this easel is an Art board or sketching board.

Made in oiled elm with real brass plated fittings. Metal lined drawer to the side of the easel pulls out completely out so you can work with materials by your side. Designed to stow in an overhead aircraft locker or pack inside your suitcase. The bottom support will lower below the base of the easel making it easier to reach the whole canvas area when placed on a table - see bottom picture.Comfortable carrying handle and a luggage tag.
The drawer has 1 longitudinal divider and two lateral dividers allowing you to store brushes in the long compartment and adjust the lateral dividers to suit your tubes etc.

The Travel easel does not have a palette but our 12/2 250mm x 350mm rectangulat palette - click here - will drop on top of the stoarge compartment in the drawer and although not a perfect fit it actual works very well.
